Hi! I am Dr. Delia.
I believe that every dog and cat deserves to feel comfortable and happy in their own skin — and that every pet parent deserves the confidence and support to make that possible. That belief is what drives everything I do.
I graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996, and spent the next 9 years practising in Australia before moving to the United Kingdom, where I continued to practise until 2024. Across those years, my experience has spanned first opinion (GP) cases, referral dermatology, and emergency procedures — giving me a broad, grounded foundation in day-to-day veterinary care.
But dermatology became my true calling. In 2019, I committed to deepening that expertise by pursuing formal advanced training at the University of Liverpool, earning the Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in Veterinary Dermatology in 2021. This wasn't just a qualification — it was a deliberate choice to go further, to understand skin disease at a level that genuinely changes outcomes for the animals I treat.
From 2021 to 2024, I served on the Committee of the BVDSG (British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group), and I remain actively engaged with the ESVD (European Society of Veterinary Dermatology). I also practise under the Zero Pain Philosophy — a commitment to ensuring that every patient in my care is treated with the highest standards of pain awareness and compassion.
Outside of the clinic, you'll find me in nature — walking, hiking, and indulging my love of wildlife and natural history. I'm also, proudly, a complete geek: a devoted fan of science fiction and fantasy, and endlessly curious about how the world works.
